Detailed Table of Contents for the ‘Ultimate Guide to Mastering FamilySearch’
Throughout December we devoted considerable space in Genealogy Pointers to Dana Ann Palmers’ remarkable new book, the Ultimate Guide to Mastering FamilySearch. In the process, we emphasized the vastness of FamilySearch itself and the fact that anyone can use it at no cost. Although we don’t have the time to go into it here, under certain circumstances FamilySearch users can also gain access to some commercial genealogy websites.
Most of what we had to say about the Ultimate Guide we conveyed in general terms, such as:
- New and experienced users of FamilySearch can be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information, and where it can be found on the site.
- Author Dana Palmer devotes an entire chapter to the helpful search tips and tricks she has devised over her decades of experience using FamilySearch.
- The Ultimate Guide to Mastering FamilySearch contains step-by-step instructions for applying Ms.Palmer’s methodology to find your own family, especially elusive ancestors.
Today, and in the weeks leading up to the great RootsTech 2026 conference on March 5-7, we will provide more details about the Ultimate Guide and the vast and complex FamilySearch site. First off, here is the complete Table of Contents for the book:
