‘New York in 1698’, by Kory Meyerink Earns High Praise

New York Researchers’ New Resource for Genealogists

Linda Stufflebean is one of the busiest genealogy bloggers on the Internet. She writes the blog, Empty Branches on the Family Tree, where not a week goes by without a significant new posting. In addition, she publishes, “Friday’s Family History Finds,” on her blog after combing  cyberspace for important articles about genealogy methodology, website updates, newly digitized records, discoveries, and anything else that could benefit her readers.

On October 14, 2024, she wrote a review of our new book, New York in 1698: A Comprehensive List of Residents Based on Census, Tax, and Other Lists by Kory L. Meyerink, about which she concluded:

“This book will only appeal to those who have ancestral lines in New York in the late 1600s. However, anyone who has such lines, especially multiple family lines living there, should have this book on their reference shelf. It is an encyclopedia of biographical data for New York at the turn of the 18th century. Kory Meyerink has compiled an absolutely fabulous reference book.”
