My GPC Library—Not Just for Individuals
Since the Spring, we have been describing the features of our new eBook subscription program, MY GPC LIBRARY. We have placed our nearly 800 eBook titles—a $40,000 value in print–on this exciting new platform. For the first time, subscribers can look for names or places across all our eBooks–not just book-by-book—in a single search. The new platform allows you to set bookmarks, make notes, and add citations as you work. Because you will have access to the entirety of every book, you can search for relatives or find neighbors of your ancestors to add context to your family history. What we have not told our readers about—before today—is that MY GPC LIBRARY is available to institutions as well. It all depends on the kind of access you’re looking for. Will you and your staff use the platform to assist patrons? Will patrons only come to the library to do their research?
