Darcie Hind Posz’ ANCESTORING Called ‘Intriguing,” “Professional”& “Compelling”
In the March 18, 2026, posting on “Empty Branches on the Family Tree,” prolific blogger Linda Stufflebean had some extremely positive things to say about the new book, ANCESTORING: Understanding Records, Family, and Ourselves, by Darcie Hind Posz,. Ms. Stufflebean observed that the new book “is sure to become a classic” because it will teach genealogists how to share “their stories as accurately as we can. ”What intrigued the reviewer was the book’s “point of view of the records and how to look outside the box when analyzing them.” By “professional,” the reviewer was referring to the author’s bona fides, following her 2023 induction as a Fellow in the American Society. Linda Stufflebean also called ANCESTORING compelling because, “I can’t imagine any serious researcher reading this book to not feel compelled to dig in, digest and use the information to think outside the box when compiling records pertaining to ancestors and using them to write an interesting life account that takes into consideration each person, his/her life choices and how social customs and culture, along with events happening in the world around them, might have influenced those choices.
We could say more about this glowing review, but we encourage “Genealogy Pointers” subscribers to read it in its entirety HERE.
