If you have logged into our website using Facebook Login, you can request that any personal data obtained from Facebook be deleted from our systems at any time.
We only receive and store the data you have chosen to share with us through your Facebook account — typically your name, email address, and Facebook ID — and this data is used solely to authenticate your login and maintain your account.
How to Request Deletion
To request manual deletion of your data, please follow one of the options below:
- Send an email to web@genealogical.com
- Include the subject line: Facebook Data Deletion Request
- Include your full name, email address, and (if available) the Facebook user ID used to log in.
- Once we receive your request, we will:
- Identify any data associated with your Facebook login.
- Permanently delete that data from our user records and databases within 7 business days.
- Confirm deletion by email.
Alternative Self-Service Option
If you wish to remove the connection immediately, you may also do the following:
- Go to your Facebook account settings → Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security and Login > Apps and Websites,
- Find our app or website name,
- Click Remove to disconnect your Facebook account.
Removing the app from Facebook will revoke our access to your information and stop any further data exchange.
