Here are 224 biographies of colonial New Jerseymen, many of which contain extensive genealogies. Revised and expanded from the New Jersey Archives by the late archivist William Nelson, this work refers to an additional 1,000 colonists whose genealogical connections would otherwise be lost in unexamined New Jersey source records. Many of the biographies contain extensive genealogies, some worked through the fifth generation, incorporating vital genealogical data—names of issue, dates and places of birth, marriage, and death, and references to wills and deeds and miscellaneous source records.
