This book, in a sense, extends the coverage of Salley's Marriage Notices in the South Carolina Gazette to the year 1808. Information provided includes the names of the bride and the groom, the exact date of marriage, the names of parents (usually the father of the bride), place of residence (Charleston and vicinity and elsewhere), and the name of the officiating minister.
