Important!

• If you have Family Tree Maker version 4.0 or higher, you should not download the viewer. Your version of Family Tree Maker does everything (and more) that the Family Archive Viewer does.

• If you have an earlier version and download the Family Archive Viewer, make sure you install the Family Archive Viewer into a different directory from where you have Family Tree Maker installed.

• If you download and install the Family Archive Viewer, do not open your existing Family Files with it. Doing so will convert them into a newer file format that your existing version will not be able to read.
